Who We Are
South Van FC is a football club based in South Vancouver. We run an open men’s team and a youth development academy, and both are built around the same thing: giving players a coaching environment that tracks where they’re at and where they need to go.
Our players are from all over the Lower Mainland and the surrounding neighborhoods. They found us looking for a club that would actually work on their game.
How We Train
Every session covers the same ground: technique, tactical reading, physical conditioning, and how to compete under pressure. Each player’s IDP maps to those same areas, so session feedback connects directly to individual goals.
Every youth player at South Van FC gets an Individual Development Plan (IDP). It names the specific skills you’re working on and gives coaches a reference point for session planning and feedback. Plans get reviewed and adjusted as players develop.
Our Teams
Open Men’s Team
Our senior men’s team competes across the Lower Mainland. We hold open evaluations twice a year. No referrals, no connections required. If you can play, come out and show us.
Youth Development Academy
The youth academy runs small groups with a high ratio of coaching attention to players. It’s designed for youth players from across the Lower Mainland who want more reps, more feedback, and more individual attention than a typical club setup gives them.
What’s Next
We’re a new club. New academy cohorts open this spring, we’re adding sessions to the training schedule, and more coaching staff come on through the summer. We’ll post updates here as things develop: session notes, match reports, and news from inside the club.
