South Van FC competes in the VMSL (Vancouver Metro Soccer League) with intent, trains to improve, and holds itself to standards that produce results. Every player is expected to commit and earn their minutes based on performance in training and on match day.

We focus on technical quality, movement, and game understanding to prepare players for a successful football career. Our method involves exposing all players to all aspects of the game.

Serious players committed to VMSL Men's Open level competition. We demand passion, discipline, and a winning mentality as we push for promotion. Players must be 18+, with select younger players considered with parental consent.
No! Our coaches have experience training both boys and girls. The academy welcomes everyone. We do separate girls and boys training sessions, but we plan to train together as well for certain developments.

Yes — training takes place once per week and is a key part of match preparation. Commitment and performance in training directly influence selection and playing time.

We offer multiple programs, however our approach is rooted in knowing that each player is different. We do not put players in a box. All programs are used in every session, while one or more programs might apply more specifically to an individual
Yes. Evaluation sessions help us understand each player's technical ability, mindset, and development stage, allowing us to place them in the environment that best supports their growth. Our team evaluate a player over 1-3 sessions, eliminating false assumptions based on just he first session
Training locations vary by program and season. All sessions are held at approved local fields in South Vancouver and across the Lower Mainland. Full details are shared after registration.
Players from any club are welcome, the academy is designed to supplement club soccer. We are looking to develop our own youth club in the future. Stay tuned!
The South Van FC Development Academy runs programs for players from U8 through adult. Each age group trains with a curriculum matched to their development stage, from technical fundamentals at U8 to U10, to positional and tactical work at U14 to U18, through to adult players training at their level.
South Van FC runs training sessions at local fields in South Vancouver and across the Lower Mainland. Exact locations are confirmed after registration. We are based in South Vancouver, BC.
We focus on technical soccer training and individual player development. Every academy player receives an Individual Development Plan (IDP) and access to video analysis. Small group sizes mean more touches, more feedback, and faster improvement.
