1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the South Van FC Youth Academy website at www.southvanfc.com, submitting any form, or participating in any South Van FC program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
If you are submitting information on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of that minor and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. About South Van FC Youth Academy
South Van FC Youth Academy is a private, for-profit football (soccer) organization based in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We offer player evaluations, training programs, and competitive development pathways for youth and adult players.
3. Eligibility
Our programs are open to players of various age groups as specified per program offering. By submitting an application or evaluation request, you confirm that:
- The information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- For youth players (under 18), a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consented to the submission.
- You or your child meets any age or skill eligibility criteria specified for the program.
4. Applications and Evaluations
Submitting a Player Evaluation Request or a Men’s Team Application through our website does not guarantee admission, a roster spot, or participation in any South Van FC program. All submissions are reviewed at our discretion, and we reserve the right to accept or decline any application without obligation to provide a reason.
Submitting a form does not create a contractual relationship between you and South Van FC until a formal offer of enrollment or participation has been made and accepted in writing.
5. Program Fees and Refunds
Fees for specific programs, evaluations, or sessions will be communicated separately at the time of enrollment. By agreeing to participate in a paid program:
- Fees are due as outlined in the enrollment confirmation.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to southvanfc@gmail.com prior to the program start date. Refunds are not guaranteed once a program has commenced.
- South Van FC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to weather, insufficient enrollment, facility issues, or other circumstances. In the event of a cancellation initiated by South Van FC, a credit or refund will be offered.
6. Parental and Guardian Consent for Minors
For any player under the age of 18:
- A parent or legal guardian must provide consent before the player participates in any evaluation, training session, or program.
- By submitting the Player Evaluation Form, the parent or guardian confirms they have read these Terms and consent on behalf of their child.
- South Van FC reserves the right to request written proof of parental or guardian consent before any in-person activity begins.
7. Health, Safety, and Medical Disclaimer
Participation in football and related physical activities carries inherent risks, including the possibility of physical injury. By participating in any South Van FC program:
- You acknowledge and accept the inherent physical risks associated with sport and athletic training.
- You confirm that the player is physically fit and has no medical condition that would prevent safe participation, or that a physician has cleared the player for physical activity.
- South Van FC staff are not medical professionals. Any health concerns should be directed to a qualified healthcare provider.
- In the event of an on-field injury, South Van FC staff will take reasonable steps to assist and contact emergency services if required. Parents or guardians of youth players are responsible for providing updated emergency contact information.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- South Van FC, its coaches, staff, and volunteers shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from participation in our programs or use of our website, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- South Van FC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services.
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific program to which the claim relates.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Code of Conduct
All players, parents, guardians, and spectators are expected to uphold the values of South Van FC, including respect, sportsmanship, and integrity. South Van FC reserves the right to remove any participant from a program without refund if their conduct is deemed harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or disruptive to other players, coaches, or staff.

10. Photography and Media
South Van FC may take photographs or video recordings during training sessions, evaluations, and events for use on our website, social media, and promotional materials. By participating in our programs, you consent to the use of such media unless you have notified us in writing at southvanfc@gmail.com that you do not wish to be included.
For youth players, consent is given by the parent or guardian on their behalf.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the South Van FC website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and training materials — is the property of South Van FC and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without our prior written permission.
12. Privacy
Your use of our website and submission of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our website, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
13. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as social media platforms). These links are provided for convenience only. South Van FC is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party websites.
14. Modifications to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
